I have a question If I remove the secondaries do I have to do anything else like get a different tune or will I be ok and will this mod alone give me anymore HP ?
 
You don't need to do anything else. Won't give you more HP.

What it DOES do is give you a "snappier" response on quick throttle openings.

The secondaries are there to "damp down" that response to save you standing the bike up unexpectedly... and, as a side issue, reduce the load on the engine if some clod gives it full throttle at 1200 rpm in 5th gear.....

Just watch out a bit more for da wheelies..........
 
My advice is yes, it's better to load in a tune that is tailored for 2ndries 100% open all the time.( if your running 100% air where its fuelled for 20%, you'll be lean).

More HP? yes & no... max HP won't alter ( 2ndries would be fully open at max revs 4th gear) but you certainly get much more power thru the gears. I did a drag race against a mates stocker after removing my 2ndries (& adding triple K&Ns) ..left him for dead

Bones is, of course, spot on! Didn't think of that myself. Usually when the secs come out (or get "set" to 100%) it's in conjunction with the fitting of the K & N's as he did - & then you will need more fuel! Then, naturally, the bike will be quicker.
 
Thanks I was thinking about it but I dont have a tune boy or anything else to change tunes and I would just screw up my bike at best .
