Yep M6 and 1 1/4 inches is long enough for me and I switched mine to stainless, as I am switching all fasteners to stainless when the occasion arises to remove one. I would like to make the seat bolt a thumbscrew, and will should I find one which suits my fancy.

i have a 2009 R3t just went for a ride, and noticed the seat bolt at the rear of the seat
Is missing, what size is it? Is there a quick release type, or a knurled top one to replace it? Any help would be appreciated

[ADMIN EDIT: Touring models only require three screws:

-- 2 each M8 Hex socket head 1.25x25 in the left and right rear quarters of the rider seat
-- 1 each M6 Hex socket head 1.0x20 in a flat tab at the rear of the pillion]

I have the Corbin seat and it mounts only with 1 rear bolt
