My old butt has less padding so starting to look into a seat.

Just cant afford the top end prices, vinyls today are a lot better than the old days.

I own a shoe repair, so I started to look into seat mods. learned a lot, I would like to hear what mods you guy have had done? type? cost? good links on how to info?

Thanks

@Justin Wall Front is a piece of cake! Rear fender a little more work, but not very difficult. If you have a stand/lift, pull the tires, front really only has brakes attached. Rear has the shroud and wires, but not much more work.
@Oldwarrior i can't help you much. I will swear by the Corbin's though for comfort. There have been some homemade mods and I'm sure those guys will pipe in. If not search some of the threads. One guy posted pictures as he went.

So I need to take the wheels off to take the fenders off?

You may be able to get the front off. Have no idea how you'd get the rear out without it. Might be possible, but probably more trouble than it's worth?
I'm speaking only of my classic model. Not sure what the differences may be with yours?

Is it difficult to take the wheels off?

is it difficult to take the wheels off?
No.
Front just requires a 3/4" nut welded to a bolt to back it out,
that's what I use anyway, it's cheaper than anything else.
Be sure to use an allen wrench to loosen the two screws
under the axel on the left front first.
Back, just take the bottom of the shocks loose, then take the axel out,
pull the driveline away from the hub and you're pretty much set.
If you go to the trouble to do it, be sure to grease your splines..

on the front, i found that a common spark plug socket turned backwards, with extension shoved into it backwards of course, fits perfectly. the day i discovered that i thought i was a ****in genious, but then wifey reminded me that i wasnt!:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Justin maybe go buy yourself a workshop manual before you start pulling things apart. As far as the camo colour scheme goes .. find it hard to imagine how it will look .. wait for photos I think.
