Hi there guys, just introducing myself. I'm down in Mandurah WA, but moving to Kalgoorlie in a few months time. Got an older ZZR1100 that's been a great old war horse, but the time is drawing nigh to trade her in. After a lot of research I'm up for a Rocket III Roadster nearer to the end of the year.
Any advice, tips and so on would be most gratefully received.
Welcome zzorg,
My advice if you are buying NEW........ JUST BUY IT simples
Have you ridden one? There are a few members in the west -they'll pipe up soon.
G'day and Welcome. Rocket be just the bike for out there .. bought mine while we were living in Darwin. Enjoyed the open speed limits while it lasted. We'll be moving over the West in next couple of months ourselves . . over to Albany
G'day again Alan (I just posted on your other thread). I'm in Singo, just up the road from you it seems. I'm off to Darwin for a couple of weeks but would be happy to catch up sometime, swap steeds and go for a ride.
Wlecome zzorg. What are you waiting for?
Word of warning. If you do meet up with Mr Hunt and ride his bike you won't want to give it up. These things are not only addictive; they ruin you for any other bike (unless you go completely mad in which case you sell your Rocket and get a Goldwing).

Welcome aboard Alan good to have another Aussie on here Cheers Pete PS: I was going to wait but life's to short for waiting, I will be getting mine in a few weeks can't wait
Hello Alan! I was like you and was going to wait (until August) to buy mine. I couldn't stand being without a bike, so I bought early. Glad I did! I love this bike! I came over from the Kawasaki camp, a 2005 V2K to be exact. I thought that bike had power and torque (well, it does, but the R3R puts it to shame).
Anyhow, you've got it in your sights, so don't hesitate...pull the trigger. You won't regret it.
