Hi all,

Again another question. I want to pull the handlebars back a little (due to rods and screws in my back, courtesy of the Army) Have any of you installed Rivco 1" up and 2" back risers?

Is there enough slack in the handlebar controls/cables/brakelines to accommodate this?

Below is a link to what I'm contemplating:

I got them and like them. A lot of folks have them as well. One of the more common mods. The cables have to be rerouted but no replacements are needed.

New cables are only required if you also switch to the Classic bars. The changeout of the risers you'll want to remove BOTH nuts on the old risers BEFORE you loosen the handlebar clamps. If you try it the other way the stock riser will spin and leave a nice eyebrow scar on the top triple tree.
Best of luck

Well, I do have the Rocket 3 Classic. Which means that it has the "classic" bars as you stated above?

So, does this means I need new cables as well?

Or, would you be referring to a different type of classic bar?

Since you already have the Classic bars you will not need new cables.

He is referring to those with Standard bars that they switch out for Classic bars.

As far as hitting the gauges, sometimes I can maneuver the tank to where I don't have to move the gauges. Sometimes not.
