Whew! Didn't expect such a great response to a "hey I'm the new guy" thread. lol
Man I loved my VMAX, and if money allowed, I would have never sold it. However, I have a sort of hobby of buying and selling cars and bikes over the past few years, and have had the pleasure of owning several different rides, including:
1991 Honda Nighthawk cb750
1998 Triumph Adventurer 900cc triple
2004 Harley Sportster 883
1998 Yamaha Vmax
and now my 2005 Triumph Rocket iii. I'd have to say, the VMAX was my favorite bike and I kept it for a long time...but I ended up trading it for a mercedes last fall, and have just gotten back into the bike world in time for summer. (of course down here in arkansas it's summer year round!)
Here's a pic of the vmax:
I had a blast with that thing. Did all the custom stuff myself.
Anyway, I'm in Little Rock, arkansas...and the day I bought the Triumph (in clinton, mississippi) I rode it up to horseshoe canyon ranch (in Jasper Arkansas) all the way up hwy 7. IT was an AWESOME ride. I put 450 miles on the rocket first day, and can't wait to put on many more. I am definitely interested in customizing the rocket to make it my own a bit. . .this forum should prove quite useful!
