rip vmax hello rocket!

Hey guys, I'm new to the rocket family and I have been very presently surprised. I used to have a vmax, and loved the power. I also had a triumph adventurer and have always thought they made great looking bikes. I'm glad to be apart of such a great community of fellow rocket lovers!

~Jay from Arkansas.

Where in Arkansas are you located? Welcome to the Rocket family.

Welcome to the site from Canada!

V-Max is more powerful and faster than a Rocket but I think you'll love the low end torque that the Rocket offers. Puts a grin on my face any time. Would love to hear what you think about the differences between the two!

Huh that's funny.... talked to a guy that owns a v-max he says a Roadster ate his bike alive. He then in turn rode the Roadster and said two don't compare. He said " I wished I had got the Roadster now". Just stating what the man said. I couldn't believe he was degrading his own bike.

Mully, the vmax and the r3 are very close,on a race it would depend on the rider, reaction time and who is a better rider, i have owned both at the same time so i can give an opinion without leaning to either side, now, the NEW Vmax is another totally different animal:D

Welcome to the forum. Living in the 'Land God Made For Mototrcycles' probably has you concerned with the handling for such a large bike. I suggest you take it once over Hwy 23 through Euraka Springs and then go down Hwy 21 over the 'Pig Trail' to I-40 and see if you don't have a 'permagrin' when done.

All the professional reviews I've read on the V-max have come to the same conclusion - stock V-Max smokes a stock Rocket in pure HP, acceleration and speed.

That being said - I would far rather have a Rocket than a V-Max although would love to have both in my stable.
