Riding with rice rockets yesterday

I had a couple buddies in town who ride ****** rockets. We went riding for a few hours yesterday. I guess they thought they were gonna toy around with me since they were on "fast bikes". We just took it easy around town and finally made it to the interstate/freeway. I like to ride a little faster than the normal traffic so I stay noticed. A few times, I could see my buddies tuck their heads down in anticipation of taking off. I just sat back and cranked the throttle and my rocket never missed a beat. We rode for about 3 hours. On the way back home, on a clear area on the freeway, I guess they tried one more time to see if they could leave me. We got up to 135 mph and they finally gave up. I hardly ever ride that fast, but it felt good knowing I could compete.
 
Good job on opening the bike up sounds like your buddies are toooo scared to twist the throttle or they were riding some real small sports bikes? anything basically above a 600cc would leave the rocket for top speed.
 
They were both on 600cc bikes. I'm sure they could have eventually taken me in the top end but takeoff I hung with them.
 
I had a couple young kids on sportbikes pull up behind me at a red light and after a couple light to light races that I hung with them 1 of the guys lifted his visor and asked what kind of bike I was riding. Got to admit it was fun.
 
Light to light you can hang with most any of them, just don't let a determined one get you out on the open road...he will hand you your a$$, It would probably be fun, and you would most likely get his respect, but he would win in the end.
 
I took on my Mates HD the other day , he is only a small guy and i was two up with the wife and we are not small in statue LOL I had to back off because the front wheel kept coming up but still beat him he wouldn't look at me at the next lights I told him later all noise and no go we had a good chuckle about it.
 
Going up to last years rdu at Harvey bay ,one of the young guys that was riding a Honda 600 sports bike that came with us was a six time Australian moto cross champion .at about 80mph he kept popping wheel stands ,crazy fellow , didn't even have a motor cycle liscence , some how with his skills he may have out manouvered any body wanting to have a chat
 
I do enjoy SHOCKING the sportbike stunt guys with my 250HP modded Rocket while they are busy doing wheelies I just drive away from them and leave trailing in the dust GREAT FUN BUT I find they no longer want to be friends and ride with us on the weekends after being beatup by a big cruiser
