Dark side

Hey Guy

I have been on the darkside since 2007. I run a Goodyear F1 Eagle 225x50 If it ever needs replaceing I would put a 225x55 or a 205X 60.

The 225x50 is about an inch smaller than the 240x50 M/C tire.

The darkside does take time to get use to, but I love the way the tire last and the added traction I get on the quick starts.

I have found that the car tire will hydro plane easier than a M/C tire no matter the tread on the car tire. That is on heavy rain and standing water. you just need to be aware.

Just my 2 cents

to answer the opening post question.
yes it will fit with no problem.
Now to answer some unasked questions.
IF you go with the 245 wide, you'll have about 1/16th inch clearance
between the sidewall and the drive shaft housing.
That's fine if you're comfortable with it,
I wasn't I wanted a little more space in there.
I'm 6ft. tall and went with the 55 high, it's closer to the original
and your speedometer is closer than it is with a 50.
The wife is about 5ft. 6" and I put a 50 on hers.
doesn't sound like much of a difference between the 50 and 55
but she can flat foot hers and tippy toes on mine.
Next is air pressure, I run 28PSI and weigh around 180-90.
the wife is a little heavier than me and hers rides better on 30PSI.
Just run it up and down till you find out where she handles and rides better
her "sweet spot"...
Good luck, mine now has over 30,000 HARD miles on it.....
