I've used this site before on a Jeep Grand Cherokee and after I and alot of others complained, Jeep was forced to recall their front rotors - which seperated from the hub due to corrosion.

I've been toying with the idea of submitting my idle problems to NHTSA but I'm waiting to see if the last bit of tinkering the dealer did has acutally fixed the problem.

I've just submitted a complaint about the "paint can rattle" causing timing components to fail. I would encourage anyone, even if your dealer finds a fix, if you hear about it more than once and it turns out you have the same problem, to file a complaint.

It's a crappy way to go to make a manufacturer recognize a problem but sometimes that's what it takes.

There have been more and more paint can rattles ending up in total motor failure and the cost of repair has been pushed on to the consumer (unless it's still under warranty) but obviously, there is a defect if the symptoms develop anywhere from 1,000 to 35,000 miles on the bike.
