G'day Buddah, bearing should be covered by warranty with such low k's. What year and model Rocket have you got ? Triumph Australia came to the party even after my bike was out of warranty.

Welcome aboard Buddah,
Glad to have you with us.
A lot of you "down under" guys here.
Now back to your question.
I've never heard of the failure you mentioned,
I did have the output shaft bearing go out on my '07 tho.
Triumph took care of me too.
To me it sounded like a rear brake dragging.
Came on instantly (the sound) after I stopped for gas.
I even checked the brakes, that's how much it sounded like one dragging.
Take care, and welcome sir.
