I just ordered the Rivco driver floorboards and was curious to know if anyone has ever tried putting the original R 3 pegs, which I like, on the Rivco passenger relocation arms? I bought a set of the relocation arms off Fleabay for half-price and was curious if they would work with anything other than the passenger floorboards.

Hi Nativeone.... yea I moved the pillon pegs forward using the Rivco relocation arms. I had to make the spacers that normally come with the floorboard kit as they are not supplied with just the arms, and the arms will not bolt up without them but they are not to hard to make if you have a drill press. I used round 1.75" aluminum bar stock cut to 1.5" long.
A hole was then drilled on center for the mounting bolt to pass thru.
The trick is to drill the alighnment/anti rotation holes in the spacers. It's been a while since I did it but I think I used small sharpened pegs set into the arms to "mark" the drill points for the spacers. You will see what I mean when you get started....Wish I knew how to post pics or I'd take them appart to show all. My GF really likes where the pegs are now, giving her much needed leg room and allowing her to brace with her legs during hurried stops. ( I kind of miss the boobies in the back thou... ) :D

Thanks Beachside: If all I need are the anti-rotation spacers, I have some that came with numerous peg sets I have bought over the years from either Harley or Kuryakyn. I appreciate the information and will wait until the relocation arms get here. If I need to modify the spacers, I can do that with my drill press. Again, thanks.

How'd this go for you Native?

I just ordered the relocation arms as well with the same idea in mind. The wife wants her legs a little more forward but I don't want boards.

I just did the same thing last night. You do have to make a spacer which I did from aluminum stock with pins. To mount the pegs I had a couple of Kuryiaken mounts and bought a set of pegs. I drilled out the threaded end of the Rivco arms and mounted the peg adapter using a star washer to keep them from rotating. I did not like the looks of the floor boards and my wife rides her own bike most of the time so pegs were a better deal.

Marcus: I gave mine to Greg after I bought a complete set of Kuryakyn pegs and a set of softail passenger relocation arms that were longer. Then I drilled thru the chrome swingarm cover and the swingarm and mounted then there! I had a set of spacers already.

Please post some pics of the results!!! Interesting idea guys. I'm looking for another project. N1, I'm interested in how it works out with the beetle bag's bottom mounting bracket.

Red: The screw that did run through the footrest and into the front of the beetle bag mounting bracket is omitted, it's not needed. You need a longer bolt to go through the swingarm and then use about a 1/2 inch spacer and on the nut side on the back use a lock washer so the bracket doesn't move. I'll take some pics later.
