Rear Ended

My wife and I were sitting at a red light today and got rear ended, thankfully at a pretty slow speed. She went off the side and just got a scrape and a nice headache. The bike landed on me and my legs and hands are pretty banged up. Sure was a sad sight to see my beloved Rocket laying on its side in the middle of the road and then getting loaded up on a flat bed. Let me tell you right now, a Rocket is a heavy bike when it's laying on top of you. No way could I have gotten it off of me. No Rolling Thunder this year I guess, and no bike for a while either. I will be spending a couple of days in my recliner watching baseball. Ride safe.

Well THAT just sucks! Glad you weren't hurt any worse (as well as your wife). Sue the chit out of the dipchit that rear ended you. Please.

Holy crap, the dangers don't seem to end. Rear ended is the worst and most stupid for the auto driver. How can you not see the guy and wife on an 800 lb bike??? Glad you're relatively unharmed. Screw the pooch who hit you.

The back in is caved in and a lot of stuff on the right side is messed up, broken off, etc. I chose to wear my armored jacket today (my wife always does) so I could have had some nasty road rash, all the damage is where I was just wearing regular jeans and gloves. Food for thought, the face shield is pretty messed up, better than my face.

Glad your ok mate i know what its like to see your beloved rocket towed away on a flat bed happend to me a couple of years back.

I also had a car run up the back of my bike at the lights one time but it wasnt on my rocket i had a Honda vt 750 shadow shaft drive.
The car wasnt going all that fast but it pushed the rear gaurd in and snaped a mirror and a foot peg off and bent my bars.
I also found out later that the shaft drive took quite a bit of damage from the inpact and although the bike didnt seem that bad it was written off by the insurance company and i got a new one.
Hope all works out well for ya and im glad you didnt get to seriously hurt

Sorry to hear about the accident and hope you both recover quickly...I just hope a cell phone wasn't the cause!
