Realizing your old!!

Some people may not like the hunched over look osteoporosis gives old ladies, but it does make them more aerodynamic, kind of like those Olympic speed skaters.

Luckily my mum who had her 87th on Sunday is still reasonably OK and does her 20 minutes exercises every morning, bending over and touching her palms to the ground still and then standing up straight again etc. She then does her 15 min walk around the block up and down steep slopes .

If she keeps the training up I may enter her with a Zimmer frame as a 'ring in' in the great Aussie race fixing tradition like the infamous 'Fine Cotton'. All I'll need is a packet of blue/purple hair dye.

I'm hoping to get at least 5/1 from the 'bookies'.

We saw a lot of that when we lived in northern Japan. The older Japanese didn't get enough calcium in their diets but it's odd that we only saw that in old ladies and not the men.

Not sure why, but it does seem to affect women more than men.
