I enjoyed riding Molinoman's last week, but I preferred the Standard. Like I said above, I was really ready to buy the Standard. I'd already planned on having them put the softer shocks on before taking delivery, etc... Then, I rode the T-bird. A couple of factors really sold me on the T-Bird. The handling was the main factor, however. It handles really good for a cruiser.
I am planning to replace the stock pipes. I don't care about louder, but I prefer the look of the shorter pipes they had on the demo. On the plus side, they're not very loud, at least nothing like the Harleys running around.
p.s. I think yesterday was a pretty good day for the dealer. They also sold their Tiger SE (Special Edition) yesterday.
..if you're gonna ride it home, I'd do the 30 to 60, back down to 30 thing in third gear about ten times..by then the rings should be seated..or at least vary the throttle in all gears on the way home..
Congrats Daryl on the new bike. I'm glad you at least got to ride mine so that you could make up your mind with that out of the way. Looking forward to seeing you again in April/May and maybe getting another trip in.
