Buy the K&N filters. A few guys are reporting that the Ram Air has problems with the rubber flange cracking at the attachment points on the injectors. I used the K&N RU-2780 filters and got a great price from Auto Zone. Also There are a few guys that put the air temp sensor into the top of the # 1 air cleaner. Also I think you can save some money by nor buying the breather filter either. The bottom of the under seat air box has the breather tube hole in it. You can glue or tape some air filter foam to that hole. Dont leave un filtered. View media item 10437View media item 10405
I ordered mine straight from Ramair UK. Was here in week or less and no worries. I have seen them on Ebay before but since mine arrived I quit looking. Something important to consider. If you do order make sure you fill out the registration card that comes with the filters and you turn it in within the time allowed. Ramair has been good about taking care of defective units but don't give them reason not to cover any issue that may arise. My two cents.
View media item 10403 I alsos removed the secondaries and the bike is a completely different machine than it was stock. You will need to do a tune to it. Download the software from www.tuneecu.com/eECU and get the cable from www.lonelec.co.uk it took 7 days to arrive from London. DONT waste your time buying a cable from any where else they dont work! Keep asking for help here too. These guys are great with advice and more than willing to share their experience and wisdom.

Just to provide an option that may save you a couple of days in shipping time, I'm using this cable instead. It works fine and is well made, though you'll need to buy a USB to micro-USB adapter separately if you wish to use your phone or tablet.

I would STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND allowing the crankcase to continue venting into the under-seat box if you intend to keep anything in there. SOME oil mist will get in and eventually gives everything a fine coat of oil which dust/dirt WILL stick to.
I run a piece of fuel line off the outlet from the crank case , it runs under the tank and reduces to a smaller fuel line this is then plugged into the back of one of my air cleaners , no fumet oily stink or oil soaked breather filter
I haven't pulled the claw yet, but I assume I'm running some sort of velocity stacks on my new Carpentered Rocket. The Ramair should be a pretty simple install. Any thoughts on whether I would need a re-tune changing from stacks to Ramair filter?
