I must refer you to the previous thread .... reason there are so few yellow is that the engineers at triumph made some ultra fast R3 then out of fear of liability they decided to paint them yellow thinking nobody would buy them well there you have it weep all you want but the scorched yellow paint is worth 2 sec on 1/4 miles and extra mph on the straight...
so there will be two of us very nice ...

Just got back from a ride to northern Georgia on my StreeTriple.

I had a chance to pre-ride part of one of my routes that I hadn't ridden before (Joe Brown hwy)....

Also got to ride over the Cherohala in zero visibility fog/rain.
:D

I guess you had a good time? Do you have anything to lean back on, back rest? T go?

No backrest....rear cowl on pillion portion of seat. We planned to keep daily mileage to 400 max.

The ergo's on that bike put you fairly upright.....a relaxed 'sport-touring' position.

I find that I get a bit squirmy after a long stretch of interstate riding....you are sort of leaning forward against the wind, which takes the pressure off your arms.

Twisties are great....very comfortable for me when I'm ri
ding curvy 2-lanes. On the way home, I did a 180+ mile twisty stretch on one tank, non-stop for nearly 3 1/2 hours.
This was a "boys only" solo trip. 2 guys from Adirondack region & 2 from NC & me.

An adventure it was.....cold & wet weather left some challenging road conditions, a small get-off (not me), I also switched bikes for a bit and rode my buddy's Guzzi Griso a bit.....

Getting new front tire & 10,000 mi service on Rocket today...then MV here we come.

this top pic shows the side bags that I used for this trip

below shows the bike without the bags

Sounds like you had a great time. I just had the 10k tune and need to order the tires tomorrow. Cya there.

you guys be safe out there.
Sure wish I could make this one.
Always new captains to meet and visit with,
and old friends to catch up with.
So many to visit with, you can't hardly talk to everybody
but you want to, and don't want anybody feeling slighted or left out,
sure would like to see ya'll, sooner rather than later.
be safe,
