I planned a trip for a charity sponsored through work and had some criteria that had to be met.
    Visit all 48 states
    Shortest distance between stops
    Actual Veterans Memorial Sites visited
Complete it in under 15 days

So I came up with this using a Google Algorithm to create the shortest route between sites visited and can be started anywhere and stop anywhere.

I thought of a Rolling RAA one of these years and this might be a good start.
Below is the actual coordinates and the first one is just close to my home and it can be anything depending where you start your journey. Also you can start anywhere in the list and go top to bottom or bottom to top and will end with the same results.

I like this. Am I reading this right… you're imagining an RAA on a huge route like you've shared, and we could join at any point along the way, so people would be dropping in and out throughout the ride?

If that's what you mean, I think it's a spectacular idea! With your current route, I'd be in at least for Salt Lake to Spokane.

Very interested in this happening. One of the tradeoffs of living in Bozeman is how far it is from everything, so RAAs are probably always going to be a LONG way away. Even if there weren't more than a handful of riders through the stretch I can make, it'd be great to join in at all, and it would be fun to follow along on the forum from start to finish. I can't imagine how long the trip log thread would be.

Not to mention, RAA… it's in the name.

That sounds like a great idea! Logistical nightmare, with a fly by the seat of your pants kinda feel. I like it.

Don't forget the National D-Day memorial in Bedford VA. It's close to your Vinton VA stop.
    GREAT memorial!

I am most likely doing this ride clockwise at the beginning of September this year for the charity event.

    Why the time crunch?
Are you actually riding I-5 north thru Ca, OR to WA?
