The only thing about NC in May is it is **** cold coming out of Northern Michigan:) I have to admit the Aerostich with the liner and Patagonia long johns worked pretty good. Even with heated grips my fingers were getting chilled. And motorcycle boots are not the warmest:) Guess I need to wear the Ski Doo boots next time:)

Yea ok smartarse !

Nov-Mexico
Dec-Guatemala/Belize
Jan-El Salvador/Honduras
Feb-Nicaragua
March-Costa Rica
April-Panama

Si Amigo. I meet you in Costa Rica. I make kick ass rum too. Hey chiquita, bring me a cigar por favor. Sit down and say hello to Poppy  Livin like an outlaw cause I am one and ridin like a Haint.

These mountains best viewed in October but who da f@#& am I.

Estes Park Colorado and stay at the Stanley Hotel. Now we're talkin'.

I could help out on the VA/WV sites. A suggestion might be to alternate east/west every month. NC in May and then moving just a little ways north the next month might be repetitious. Similar with Pac NW and N Cali.

There are endless pros & cons for developing a plan........If I remember correctly.......

I was able to attend the Washington state salvo then hit the RAA Arkansas on my way home.....
I also did RAA Kentucky & Texas salvo in the same trip.

So that is one consideration.......scheduling time and place for an extended trip taking in 2 (or more??) locales.

Of course the weather is a concern........too hot/too cold/just right...never really know but playing the odds for the best time for each area.

Ogre, any suggestions on locations mentioned or not, would be greatly appreciated.
Routes, accommodation, etc.

Hell, nolton.......I could plan a follow Ogre trip all across the country but what fun would that be? (Don't answer that :D)

I think once we can decide on a format, locals will volunteer (like tdragger did)...if we really end up needing suggestions, I will help, of course.

For starters we need to decide on a general schedule...
NUMBER of events
SPACING of events

then get into location/routes/accommodations later

NUMBER & SPACING will be related to whether we want a multiple venue alternative or just have each one as an isolated event.

You have my attention.
Elaborate a little more. What amount of time would we need for this type of ride?

I would love to follow you but you would have to put a tracker on your bike.

Not yet Ogre, bit I have a felling by tis fall I will have. Full top, not a vest so my arms stay warm'and gloves. I see they have socks too. That would about cover it since the liners in my Aerostich pants have been adequate. I could probably is the topnwith my snowmobile suit too. Going to Quebec this winter. Went to Ontario with the group last year and it was nasty cold.

A "follow Ogre trip" would not be bad if I could keep up:)

I left my place on M42, went onto m115 to my home town and on to Frankfort hitting M22 up to the Sleeping Bear National Sand Dunes and on up to Suttons Bay and Traverse City and back home. A leisurely 185 mile ride today. It was brisk following M22 along Lake Michigan.

Will head further north up to Petosky and along the coast tomorrow. I am itching for another trip.
