i know I have read in this forum discussion on tires. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention! My question is how wide of a tire can I cram in the stock space? I thought I read about someone running a 200-60-16. Does that sound correct? Any help would be appreciated...

A205/60/16 will work just let the air out for install and re-air after wheel is reinstalled.

Other than the look of having a wider tire and maybe an increased load rating, what would be the point of having a wider tire? How might that affect the speedometer?

I have always felt that the tire on the ground the better stopping power. It isn't much difference from the 180 width but it is wider. I'm not sure on this logic but it stands to reason...

I tried the 200 just for traction, seems slightly harder to spin, first time I got on it I could feel the longer travel the first time I went from lean left to learn right, then forgot about it and never noticed it again.
