G'day,
I have heard about a jumper cable or something that once installed fools the Engine Management System into thinking the bike is in 5th gear therefore alowing the clutch to fully engage or something. can someone give comment to this as it would appear to be a cheap mod to get the full power to the rear wheel.
I know nothing about this only what i have said above.

Thanks

yep, why "fool it into thinking it's in 4th"
when you can have full power all the time
and get a nice little gear indicator as a bonus.

Thank you all,
Does installing this Desiree mod stop the gear indicator on the standard gauges working?
Thanks
Tony

Ah - you have a NEW one. You'll need TuneECU and cable. As I'll bet the OEM gear indicator uses the resistors in the gear indicator switch - You need to actually change stuff not try to fool the ECU.

Take a look at the TuneECU site - download manual - read. There area alternate tunes there too. BUT if you're not sure - be very very careful.

Basically you'll be able to disable the top speed limiter - adjust the fuel maps - open/close secondary butterflies - Masses of stuff. Best is get thee to a dyno guy what knoweth.
