I have the model VEC 1093A. It gives up to 100 amps but for little batteries it idles down to 2 amps or less. It's a helluva charger for 120 bucks. I did have to replace the alligator clips. I inadvertently ran over them with the car. It has internal cooling fans and it's well made.

I never buy anything at Cabelas. We have a big store about 5 miles from here and so I get socked sales tax. I'd rather buy elsewhere like LL Bean.

Think it was the short trips over time. I bought a trickle charger to keep going. Problem solved

With less than a year on a stock batt. I experienced slow crank when the temp was less than 35.
