This is what we're trying to figure out. We'll see if it goes away once @Protonhound has replaced his clutch.
The best explanation in this thread, so far, is from @TheFALCON (appears to be no longer active here) who said.....
"the anti judder spring had made a deep groove into the steelplate which it is pressed against.
Then looking at the new set and checking the manual “there should not be a groove in any of the plates!!!”.
So I called the Triumph shop that got in there before and they said that they did not mess with the center nut only the 3 bolts holding the plates in. I will go back to it this weekend and update as I go.

The anti judder spring is to have a cushion when applyin or releasing the clutch so as to make it smooth instead of having a clutch chatter. when it wears a grove in the apply plate it will no longer have a spring tension and work like it is suppose to. it now works like it doesn't even have a cushion and grabs harder.
I'm starting to think that the dealer actually never did anything other than taking the cover off. The mechanic there said he doesn't remember taking the center nut and whole clutch out which is apparently necessary according to the first shop I called. After removing the 3 tension bolts and plate it was obvious that the manual is correct.
I made a short video but it's too big to upload and I'm not spending 2hrs trying to make that work . Even short videos tell me it's the wrong format so pics it will be.
i have used a bushing cutting tool to get rid of a stake like that. I have a chisel that i ground flat so i could make a stake like that.
you may be able to restake.
also i have used shims to put under the nut so that it gives you a new stake area on the nut.

The manual says to line up the 2 teeth on the flywheel that have the marks before inserting the locking pin to lock the crankshaft. I think it’s a waste of time to try to get those exact teeth since I'm not doing valave adjustments so any 2 teeth should do.
