2008 R3T with lots of changes
After only have taken delivery 3 weeks ago, I experienced a problem with my brand new R3T. At a run 2 weekends ago in a slow right hand corner it just stalled on me! I thought it was a fluke. Several days later approaching a stop light, it did it again and this time it screwed up the LCD fuel trip meter.
It hasn't been right since. I took it to the dealer with information I found online about recalls for 2007 & 2008 Rocket 3 Classic Tourer and Rocket 3 for stalling when coming to a stop (exactly what my bike was doing) It said Triumph would download updated software (for the fuel injection) to fix the problem. So, my dealer downloaded the updated tune. They told me it was done and to come get it last Saturday. Just when I was leaving to go get it, the dealer called and said their tech took it out for a final check and it died on him. This is with the "updated" tune. They said it idles better and seems much stronger but it did die. Does anybody know what the hell is going on with this? I have 1K on it and it's already riding the bike lift. Ignition switch doesn't sound very likely because the switch is independent from the bars.
Anybody experience this on their bike? Thanks in advance.

The dealer is on the hook to sort this. It sounds like a TPS issue (Throttle Position Sensor). The infant mortality on TPS has been noted by a number on this forum. The tech should be able to figure it out using the Triumph diagnostic tool. The upside is you get the bike back running better than before. If you want to monitor your ECM performance after you pick it up, buy a Tuneboy.

The R3T and Classic Tourer are 2 completley different animals. They use different tunes. I'd ask the shop what they did and why they would apply an updated tune on a differrent base tune.
