Bull, I've always wanted to powder coat my wheels black as its a pain in the ass cleaning them, Black you can ignore the dirt for longer.
We have a company here call HPC (High Performance Coatings) they are going to do a header and exhaust for me next week but can coat anything, may be something similar over there?

Thanks, I'll look it up - I know a big city like Tacoma will have powder coating.
I'm thinking of doing the original black in yellow and keeping the PITA cleaning part, but then I enjoy pain!

Yep, plenty of powdercoaters around these parts. I use Blast Tech in Fresno, Ca, and have never had a problem. I've only done rack on Triumph thus far but going to do radiator shroud and windshield brackets next. Ony roadliner I did ever part I could get off including wheels and exhaust...had 75k on exhaust ( which included catalytic convertor) and it held up fine. So caveats to powder coating....get best guy in the area, parts can be ruined during chrome removal process, particularly thin stuff, make certain to advise them of needed threads, close tolerance holes or any tight fitting parts...or you'll be filing stuff down. Expect some dulling of gloss coating on high heat items like exhaust. If using flat colors it won't matter.
Did the wheels on my roadliner....makes life easier! Saved some time by buying a set of wheels on ebay, coating those, then selling my wheels when swapped.
