Does anyone have one, they are on backorder here which means "nice Xmas Present" it looks a simple bit of expensive metal so would be eternally grateful if I could get the measurements to make some up for my (and others') benefit ($188!!!!!)
cheers, Dave

hmmm, March was your post Mitch, seems like no one has one, I thought there was someone on here that worked for a dealership? if so maybe they could measure one. I've ordered one (don't tell her indoors:whistle:) but hope to get the measurements before it arrives so I can cancel, if not I'll post up when it arrives (backorder so it may be awhile)

Mitch and I would be mighty pleased if you can Warp, cheers for looking anyways

Dave I have the wrong guage I have the alignment toll for the cam gears. I think the gauge you want checks for clearance between the tension plunger and the depth of threads on the centre nut plus the little brass collar which is there for initial Production line assembly installation. After all you don't want anything but the spring moving the plunger. other then that the plunger insure no loss of tension on the spring. I would say if you measure the clearances and insure these things listed above do not contact the plunger you can install the plug (sacer) I have 1 motor that came with it (After the upgrade kit) and one without. I susect the one was added since the ugrade because of the mileage on the chain and whether peole say a new chain comes with the kit or not it deends on what the Tech actually installs. For instance Baxter's does not replace everything in the kit things like the wireing harness were left out of mine but I was able to talk the tech out of the new plug harness to do it myself.
Anyway I am sorry I mixed up what tool you were wanting.

Can you see any problem just taking out the centre nut and spring, pushing the plunger in with my finger then doing the measurements to see what the gap is without removing the cam cover, etc, etc?

Well, I got the bit and my arse is sore from being screwed by Triumph:shock:....cost was $188:eek3:, its a piece of plastic which measures 31mm long total, large end is 24mm diameter & 15mm long - small end is 14mm diameter and 16mm long...thats it!!! no holes, recesses, chamfers or anything, think I might turn some up and put em on ebay
