I gather an American Redneck roughly approximates a Bogan.

So, if I ever meet one of you from down under, what brand of beer should be offered?

I was told that Foster's was not Australia's finest beer. Not sure if would be a Bogans first choice or not. Maybe Paul Hogan is a bogan.

Appreciate some examples of Australia's finest. And stuff you would swill the hogs with.

A Lone Star, Billy Beer, Oly, Hamms, Lucky, Budweiser or Mickey's might be good redneck beers.

Not sure if America has any good beers. I probably would not know a good beer if it bit me. New Castle brown ale from England tastes pretty good though.

Samuel Adams.....anything with that label......some rednecks have class.....Plus Sam Adams makes beer for the love of beer, and if that's not redneck I don't know what is.

VB (Victoria Bitter) is probably the Bogan beer of choice in Victoria and XXXX in Queensland (pronounced FourX).
Each State / Territory tends to have Bogan specific brews.

Fosters is really just an export product - you occasionally see it here at the Bottlo (Aussie for beer shop) but no right minded Aussie would be seen dead drinking it....

My personal favourites are from Flying Monkeys in Barrie Canada - but not available in Oz.

This is me being a Bogan on Australia day a few years ago , notice Bogans drink of choice is Bundaberg Rum
