Thanks, guys. Bill, that's the exact photo that gave me the itch. Wasn't sure how it would look on a black bike, but I like it so far. I think it gives it that old school look to go with the tail lights I made. BTW, I used Ranger tire paint. I always wanted a '50 Merc but they are kinda pricey and I like riding too much, so I'm taking my aggression out on the Rocket.

I've been thinking about using white wall tyre paint on my R3 for some time - if you cant decide (and I still can't ) whether you will like the look or not do what I did. Take a decent photograph and using 'paint' on the laptop I painted the tyres in the pic. Here is the result. BTW does anyone know how hard it would be to get tyre paint off if I really don't like it?

This is what I have a week later. No, it's not dirty, that's bleed thru. My fellow bikers had no idea it was tire paint the first couple of days but apparently the oils in the tire make their way out eventually. Yes I cleaned it very well with a scuff pad and degreaser. This is 3 coats applied over the course of 4 days. Not sure what I'm gonna try next but I'm sure I'll figure out a solution. When I do I will update again.

Could you just give it a couple more coats?

By the way, for Std/Classic/Roadster, you can get an exedra Max 240 size with a white stripe. Not quite the full white wall but close. That means you can also get a 150/80x16 with the white stripe (tyres for a C109RT) which is the size for the R3T front (?). Could solve part of someone's problem in any case.
