I am going to try and get Sonic Springs to make me up a set of fork springs. To save time and a lot of trouble ,I would like to ask if anyone has a set of old OEM fork springs laying around. I need the length , diameter, and thickness of the spring wire. It would be a big help. I have had them make springs for me on several bikes , and have not been disappointed.
PS I do not own any interest in them .
Thanks

I have a set. Do you just want the measurements or do you want me to send them to you? Either way - no probs.
I knew I was not the only old rat packer around.
Measurement are more than enough ( I am 99% sure). It will be a great help.
Thanks

IDK,
don't guess you know the size of the head bolt too do ya?
The bolt that goes through the neck and has the steering bearings on it.
length, diameter, etc.
I'm wanting to change out my front end and just wondering how much trouble it's gonna be.

Why bother getting springs made?? Progressives are under a hundred bucks.......

Weeeel.....I can kinda help ya here, as I have changed mine when I did the custom braces. The problem is, that it's not a simple bolt! the head screw cap is the smallest thread, then there's the top bearing thread, then the shaft , about 2.5 cm & 29 cm long, BUT, close to the bottom, & including the bottom bearing, the shaft bells out to 3 cm. I'd say you'd need to take the original out in order to copy one.. Or buy a new one from Triumph.
