O2 sensor and triples Help

Tek if it were me I would use the ecu software to control the O2 sensor. By this I mean since it is a narrow band sensor it only reads A/F rations between 14.5:1 and 14.57:1 any areas I did not want the bike to adapt to like down where I closed the throttle I would just alter the programed A/F ratio to 14.4:1 and leave the cruise areas at the programed 14.57:1 this will then continue to adapt and give you good fuel mileage in the cruise areas, yet in the areas that cause decel pop you can throw more air into the F&L tables without worrying about them adapting. This is not how most do it but IMO is a better way and takes advantage of the sensor.

Of course you can do like most do and shut it off but then most likely your fuel mileage will go down do to most tune having more fuel in them to cut the decel pop.

I bet this has some of you thinking which is what I am trying to do. Nothing like good ole bench racing/tuning to pass the winter away until its time to ride again.

How about it Hans I would love to hear your opinion its almost like a localized auto-tune feature but using the Triumph ecu instead.

Personally I like the outerwears pre-filters. I tested them in a monsoon type rain on my blower intake ran for 150 miles drenched and yet the bike never missed a lick it ran as if the filter was dry as a norm sunny day. Not to mention it is easier to clean then the cotton filter.

Thank you for your help and review Evil Mitch just do the job and send a new Tune ECU map for my beast that wil do that , I want to remember to all of you that my resources here in Argentina at the moment is limited I mean no big KN filter anywhere .....just this is what I found and payed like 50 usd for 4 filters for sure with time will have KN installed and with prefilters done, thank you guys for your help

Sending this baby off to Outerwears to get a custom prefilter made for it next week. I believe this will be a good filter on the beast . It will have the temp and ambient pressure sensor inside it to obtain accurate measurments for the ECU.

So you are still playing with the Pipercross filter then? How does the Bearclaw fit with this - or doesn't it?

Since posting on here I found your stuff on the .com site - 'Air intake mod info' thread, great info on there and will keep watching.

My particular interest is the smaller filter that hopefully will fit under an unmodified bear claw.

Yes this filters will fit in your bearclaw without any cut if you like
