Living Legend
Well here I sit at work bored out of my mind so I thought "Since I haven't seen much new technical stuff posted in quite a while why not summarize a few things for the new guys that seem to be popping in everyday?" Maybe it will cut down on rehashing old arguments, who know? For you old guys just jump in anywhere if I forget anything.
Here goes...
1.) @warp9.9 has broke more $hit on a Rocket motor than you will ever contemplate. If you have an internal engine question or are confused as to where to put the oil send Scott a PM and I'm sure he will sort you right out. If he doesn't get back to you right away just be patient...the man has been known to have a wee nip o' the corn on occasion but I assure you he will sober up at some point and get back to you. Just don't take any riding advice from him...he has crash tested more motorcycle helmets than anybody I know.
2.) @HansO is the guy you want to contact about tuning issues. He maintains a vast library of tunes that he is more than happy to share and will even call you on the phone and help you sort out the installation if required. I can personally vouch for this since when he came over to the US he rode my '09 Standard and completely f#cked it up it only took him a day and a half and a few phone calls to get her back on the road good as ever!
3.) @Rocket Scientist @albertaduke these two gentlemen have seen the the internals on a Rocket motor and have a few ingenious tricks should you ever be unfortunate enough to completely rebuild your engine in your basement. Fair warning though...I would make sure and keep both Fred and Patrick in front of you where you can see them at all times...shifty looking at best.
4.) @mexican What to say? Lupe can talk you into doing more $hit that he was originally going to take care of than anybody I know. I have actually found myself talking him out of trying to help me do whatever cr@p he was supposed to handle in the first place! Not sure how that Jedi mind trick works, but watch him. Also one of the biggest hearts and most generous guys you will ever meet.
5.) @RKTNMYPKT F#ckin traitor...what this guy. Big goofy looking dude, rides an Indian and likes to go hot tubbing with @Steel in the wilds of Colorado. His wife is a sweetheart though and more than makes up for having to put up with his silly a$$.
Oh $hit...boss just stuck his head in the door so I gotta make this quick...car tires are dangerous, black bikes are faster, stripes belong on skunks, CES exhaust is the best one out there, umm what else, yes you can get more horsepower by changing filters and tune, umm...
D@mn...more later
