...........Has a VTX radiator. While the radiator on the Rock is large. The radiator on that bike has a problem......The fender is short and the rad is long. Bad combination. The front wheel flings road debris into the radiator, stones or whatever and holes it. I see Flipmeister will be offering either a black extension or a stainless one...........

Too bad no details. Why Thunderbird, which was a triple? How heavy. TBS was less than 550 lbs.

what follows?

not to worry,
don't think triumph is inclined to decrease performance if they change the design. this bike will most likeley be a better version of the fabled thunderbird marque. the engine looks to be very stout from what i can see. should be a good runner with the 6 speed tranny. my real anticipatory thoughts are towards that which may follow this one. the Rocket G.T. is coming soon, and I want one. In black of course. With turbo/3-1 rs preds.......:D

There's something that Triumph is missing an opportunity to make money on. If they bumped the comression ratio with new pistons and put in hotter cams, along with the correct fuel map and timing, they could push the current 2300cc bike to around the 200 HP mark.

They could then sell the "kit" as a high performance upgrade to us lowly low-HP, low torque RIII owners, so we could boost ours up as well, while supplying Triumph with more cash... :)

That will come. But with every other Harley rider (one of Triumph's ultimate preys, we all realize it, don't we)? attending Triumph dealers' "open house" events and reluctantly filling in their RIII test ride report : "Too big", " too powerful" or "too brutal" (sic, I spontaneously helped my dealer out during such an event)... or demanding an obscene trade-in price for their decorated, rolling antiquity, it might take a while...

Let's be happy with the Rocket "as is", I say. Jamie:)
