Tiger Explorer 1200
Hi,
New member from the UK, window shopping for a Rocket 3 (new shape, not necessarily the very latest model although I do like the Storm).
First - to sell one or two bikes to make room in the garage.
Have an XJR1300 at the moment (nice thing, will be sad to see it go). Also a Thunderbird Storm, which I never quite clicked with, although it's a work of art.
My daily is the Gen1 Explorer 1200 with over 70k on the clock. I reckon it's good for another few years yet.
We do a bit of 2 up riding, so I'm leaning towards the GT, maybe with mid controls (after throwing my leg over one at the dealership).
Anyway, any buying advice, or things to look out for, I'll be happy to hear.

Greetings from sunny North Texas. The R is probably better suited to your needs since you aren't doing two-up everywhere. I also have a T-Bird Storm and it doesn't compare with the Rocket for power or torque, but it is a very comfortable all day ride with the soft riding suspension and wide bars. The Rocket is a power monster with silly grin inducing torque and arm straightening power. My Speed Triple will run circles around it because it weighs half as much and has the same HP as my Rocket (altho torque is significantly less). I found each bike in my inventory has it's forte and no two are alike, so based on what my expectations are for the ride I'm planning I select the appropriate tool to get the job done.
