Hi, In just a few short days. I am going to be the new owner of a 2005 Rocket Yea Yea Yea sorry to be so excited buy Yea. I must travel a long way to get it but its well worth it I hope. I put a deposit on it sight unseen (other then pictures). Please let me know what to watch for or look for. It has 18000 miles so I know at least the first valve adjustment was done.

Thanks, Dain

Congrats, and welcome to the forum. Watch out not to get too many bugs in your teeth from the perma-grin while you are riding.

Where are you picking her up, and riding back to?

615 mile trip I live in Youngstown Ohio but want to keep pick up on the down low till its a done deal. I must trailer it back going by my self and can't aford a plane ticket.

G'day and Welcome Dain. I'd certainly be checking the history of the bike ..VIN numbers and a phone call to local Triumph dealer .. were a few problems with the 2005 models that Triumph went about fixing under warranty , if the Owner took advantage of the offer. Be doing my homework on what's been done to the bike that's for sure. Let the buyer beware ;)

Hello Dain and welcome from VA. I understand the travel situation, but unless the bike is broken, trailers are a sin... not judgin', just sayin'

And bus tickets are not as expensive as the drive down and back pulling a trailer I bet...

I just checked the miles and its 694 not 615. 24 hours on a bus then 11 or so hours maybe in the rain, on a bike that you have never been on. I don't think that would be wise. Maybe when I was in my 20's. Any way I believe the deal is done so I am trying to load up some pictures. The price of the bike is $4700, from a car dealer just trying to get their money back from a trade in.

Dain

You might want to wear a mask when you pick it up, since you practically stole that bike. Sure wish I could find deals like that.

Looks real nice. And you did steal it too. Before you ride it away make sure your battery is in good condition, not on its last legs. You dont want to find that out in the middle of a trip.
