New tune install and blinking lights?

I installed my first tuneboy tune and when I shut down the bike after a short (mile) run both the engine and temp lights were doing a steady blink with the key turned off.
Can someone enlighten me? :?

I did have the whole front end off cleaning up corrosion issues. The ignition switch was removed and then reinstalled. So do you think it would be in the connector or the switch itself?
Thanks for the help.

You'd best look at the connectors and wires going into the housing. More than a few people had problems with broken connections into the housing, likely from bad soldering. You probably snapped a connection while fiddling. Not a fun thing to replace, that ignition. Good luck!

Wayne, I think we would all agree that electrical gremlins are the most difficult to deal with. You are obviously still getting juice, even with the switch off which to me points to the ignition switch itself. Rocketman makes a good point. It could be a hot wire energizing one that should be cold with the switch in the off position. It doesn't seem that it would be too difficult to troubleshoot.

Good luck on isolating it my friend and please let us know. Mike

With 20k miles on my bike, the only problem I've had was the ignition at 7k miles. A wire let go up in the ign. housing. Now is the perfect time for the ignition relocation project!

Problem solved! I pulled the Tac and Speedo, unplugged their wire connectors and reconnected them. They work perfect now! I guess while I had the handlebars laid back on a quilt on the tank the connectors loosened  Sounds like old "lucas gremlins" are still around.
Thanks for the help!

Great Wayne! That is really weird though. I wonder how the power was getting to them. Who cares though, right? It is fixed. Yup, the spirit of Lucas lives on. :D
