New to me 2012 Rocket III Touring

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Have found out 2 members live within 40 minutes of here, so I look forward to catching up on the road sometime, maybe for a wee refreshing adult lemonade or two. Having fun just reading about these bikes on here. Did not realise how much customisation was available. Looking for intake upgrade at some point, but rest will be minor cosmetics really.

First wee mods done, previous owner had radar detector & heated grips running straight off the battery. All hooked up to relay now. Bit of a panic when the Engine Management Light came on after we had had the battery disconnected, but a quick browse & search of this forum put my mind at ease. 3 stop starts later, light has gone out.

Fitted some genuine Triumph Highway pegs (from a mate), upgraded the headlight bulb (same wattage, but whiter & higher output). Do I need to do a relay for the headlight on a 2012 Touring? I do plan to upgrade to a full LED unit as funds allow. 7" LED 80w Headlight Few mates have these on various bikes, one has twin 5.75" units on his Roadster and they look great.

First long ride coming up this weekend, it'll be about 1500km's by the time I've finished, then I'll be ready for first service (16,000 km's).

Loving the torque, loving the smoothness of the gearbox & driveshaft, way better than the Suzuki Boulevard M109R whose power delivery I can only describe as brutal in comparison to this wonderful piece of British Engineering.

Mate on a 1500 Flat 6 Honda Valkyrie tried to drag me at some lights last weekend. He had no hope. He was redlining, I wasn't even using full power
