There's a K&N option which many of us have run at some stage and these fit under the bear claw. Have a look in www.flipmeister.com. Also the Ramair filter, although I'd be waiting for an improved version before going that route. Don't worry too much about cutting the bear claw. A new one is probably cheaper than any aftermarket options.

The prop is under the right side of the tank.
Start forward of the air box and remove all the gray plastic stuff.
