The mechanic told me he was shifting without the clutch. It's 55000 miles, which is nothing for a Rocket. I don't mind replacing things like brakes, tires, battery, suspension, etc. I just don't want to have unanticipated issues with the engine which will require a lot of hassle to deal with. I'm going to have the dealer check out the bike.
