Hello @AMXsteve and welcome to the site. Congrats on the purchase of that great looking GT. Is this your first Triumph? If so, did you ever consider the older generation Rocket? Curious as to why so many are purchasing the new model without every having the older one. Is it the looks, size, price increase(???), bragging rights, etc etc etc...

You ought to know it's the price increase that is way they r buying them

Hello Steve and welcome from Virginia. Does the AMX have anything to do with the AMX Javelin?

I was thinking along the same line we always called the autotransmission an amx.

My pride and joy for 27 years was a 73 AMX 401 4 GEAR loved that car but its gone now. Have a 64 comet wagon with a 347 stroker now

i had a 64 comet wagon drove it for about 7 years back then when i sold it i ask $400 and the next day i had a bunch of people waiting to drive it. 1st one bought it.
