New Front Rubber running Dark Side?

Anyone have suggestions on what is wearing well on the front with darksider rears.

Should I just replace the stock 150/80-R17 Metzler or go with an Avon equivalent.

I swapped my old metz for a Avon about a six weeks ago, its done around 1500 miles with a Toyo 225.

I think it handling a lot better in all conditions.

So to answer you question, yes go with the Avon equivalent.

Gl, I've got about 6k on a Dunlop D404. It's only H rated but I'm not going to exceed 132 mph anytime soon. Looks like it is wearing well.

+1 on the Avon, I'm running the same combo with the Toyo 225/55 and it's wearing real nice.

Thanks for the input on this, my Metz is still good but I will get an Avon next time if it is stickier.

I've looked at the Metz, Dunlop (thanks tdragger, I check that out as well seeing you are running the same Riken as my R3), but would like to know which Avon you guys are running. I need the name because they make a couple different models in that size.
