Hanso

Did any of us follow up on the idea of installing the OE factory O2 sensor along with the Dynojet AT O2 Sensor to give idle AFR control and maybe more upto 2000rpm ?

Anybody ask Dynojet if it would be compatible with PCv?

Just wondered..
Dennis I did look into it but cant remember the exact answer but they did suggest adding the 10 to 20 fuel in the fuel table which took away a hiccup in the low rpm area, I think if you were to contact either DynoJet or maybe the likes of Neville Lush or Wayne Tripp via a PM they could better advise you

A tuner who can tune the fuel in TuneECU could also do the ignition tables. Wayne Tuneboy has done it. There's no one around me who can. I'd be interested if DJ has a program link Tuning Link which does the fuel automatically but does the same for ignition trim.

Another Q' Hans.. sorry guys not highjacking but subject related

Do you know.. if the PCv is power disconnected but still piggybacked into the ECU will the bike run as normal ?

I could leave it in place instead of pulling it off and refitting it in JP after the emission test. If I get that far, may have to sell it yet :(

Not sure Dennis, seeing as the PCV gets it power thru the ECU and only has an earth you could try a disconnect the Earth from the battery and see if it will run

Thank you young man.. if this all falls through I will sell the bike and just ship the accessories if I decide to get another R3, maybe sell the Staintunes too won't need'em :(

I guess Oz will soon fall into line and emission control tests will be mandatory here too

Shhhh don't say such horrid things

Yea they have been talking about that here in Calif for some time. Nothing as of yet. If they do, I will register my bike in Arizona. Except for the large southern city arrears, AZ does not require emissions testing,,,,yet.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had a number of bikes( various breeds) who have had smoked Power Commanders when the owner has a flat battery. They remove the battery and charge it and reinstall LEAVING OFF THE PC earth wire accidentally. Start the bike and poof, the PC is toast. I have not had this direct experience with the R3 but several other bikes and see no reason to risk testing it on a Rocket. I would strongly suggest you do not remove the earth wire on your PC and run the bike. If you wish to disconnect it do it properly. The ign module should be a good thing. In order to tune the bike using that one must bear in mind good data is essential. If there is no data how do you know what the bike needs? To be able to tune ign and fuelling via dynojet products will in theory, allow many more folk to get better tunes without a tuner having to use the Tuneboy or similar softwares which are harder to use. As to auto tuning ignition? Thats a new one on me. S&S did try that in a way on their " intelligent ignition" they sold for big twins a while back. That was so successful everyone knows about it.
