Hi everyone, after years of wanting one ive finally done it! Picked up an 08 R3 Classic. Cant stand the colour but that can be changed. Ive been a life long Suzuki owner & still am but have always hankered after a rocket.

Removed the secondaries & the cat on day 2 of ownership, just need to fit the slash cuts & re-map the beast!

A job for tomorrow i feel!

Nice one, Im just over the river in Essex, will be travelling down to see my son in Canterbury soon. Had Harleys for a while now, the Rocket has sparked my love of motorcycles again.

I work in Canterbury, I'm there now & got to ride it home in the pissing rain at 11.

Interesting that it is blood and bone as all indications are that it's actually a Standard - which were all single colour (not counting the tribal scheme). The pegs instead of boards, 2 piece seat instead of the dual, no chrome rocker cover and the bars don't look like they're off a Classic. Even the exhaust tips, while similar to those on a Classic, don't really look like they actually are Classic tips. Looks like someone may have done a tin swap already. Have a close look at the gold pinstripes between the red and white. Do they look hand painted and can can you find the place under the tank where the "artist" signed off on his work? Not that it matters at all. Just curious.

Found these on the tank today so must be original, the colour is slowly growing on me.
