+1 on the countershaft. If you need more, go down on the rear sprocket. The Bonnie does not pull nearly as well at +2-at least that is our experience with Bonnies.

Thanks for the fast reply. :)
I'll try +1 on the countershaft sprocket first.

Can you tell what my RPM will be at 80 MPH?
I guess my Rocket III has me spoiled. ;)

Forgot the exact number-but it's still up there. Just a +1 on the countershaft drops it in the 450-500 range. On the side, the P-Twins will run there ALL day no problem.

A good portion of the Rocket is made in Thailand. It is assembled in England. They have two production lines in Thailand and have recently annouced that they are opening another facility.

As promised... pictures!

Figured it would be appropriate to take the pics in front of my MG Midget. Three Brits dominating the one poor German in my driveway!

I did some sound samples of both bikes... just haven't quite figured out how to blur the plates. Might just cover them with duct tape first, and do it again. The Emgo togas on the Bonnie sound great and really need to be heard! She sounds like a Triumph twin should.

The luggage rack and grab bar for the Bonnie are on back order, but, as I already mentioned and you can see, the Emgos are installed, along with the 'bags, airbox elimination kit (real pain to install...), and I've removed all the emissions control. Seems I wound up with a California bike.

Oh... and the Corbin seat on my Rock is awesome! I've done three hours without the slightest numbing of my legs and tailbone getting sore, like the original.

Nice Set of Siblings

Alister,

My T-100 was the B/W color combo too. Really brings back good memories. I presume the smog control device in the cydlinder head has been plugged. Makes a world of difference in performance. Good looking machines the both of them.

Just 'cause I have a Rocket......

There's been a lot more modernization to the Bonneville than just EFI. The switch to more cc's, overhead cams, 4 valves per cylinder, etc. has thourally modernized this old classic. EFI was the icing on the cake. :D. Your carburetted Bonnie is still a far cry from the original design (as I'm sure you are aware).

The Hinlkley Bonnies, T100's, Thruxtons and Scramblers have always been overhead cam/4 valves per cylinder, wet sump with counter rotational balancer shafts. The 02, 03, 04 and I believe 05 models were 790's and now they are 8 something. The Hinkley/Bloor 790 was designed as a Brit Police mount. It's very strong in stock form.

I do know about Hinkley Bonnevilles........

I'll take my 'cake' without icing.
If you go to my album, you can blow the pictures up and appreciate what I put into the bike. There are only 2 in existence and I have the only blue/white '02 Centenial. If you look, look closely at the exhaust...you'll see no discoloration and the OEM mufflers are at the 'correct' angle, not the kinked up angle.....OEM '68 mufflers, that is. She is running custom ground cams, the head is flow'd, ported and ploished and it has Kehin CR carbs with cut away slides and it keeps up with a stock:sick:VTX 1800 without the chair attached to 100.......

I would strongly suggest removing the AI units from the heads. Triumph makes an 'off road only kit' to plug the AI. The AI causes an after burn in the head pipe and turns them brown and blue.....like yours are right now and they will get worse, much worse as the miles progress.

No sh_t. Did anyone here not already know that?

I'm sure everyone is sooo impressed.
I know I am ...

Yeah, in your dreams.
Maybe blown and on nitro...

Is it your mission in life to continually blow smoke up my ass (and everyone else here?).
Give it a rest dude...
