Hi All,

A friend recently told me that my Roadster has torque control settings in the first three gears, plus something in the fuel injection that prevents it from doing full power in the first three gears. To me that defeats the objective of buying the bike in the first place. Anyone know how I go about disabling the nanny controls? Mine is a 2010/2011 roadster. Marc

Just gotta throw a new tune in her. Do you have any mods? Pretty sure the new roadsters are coming with stock de restricted tunes. If you're all stock one of those tunes should work just fine for you

If you don't want to play with the tune you could go with a GIPro + ATRE. it's primarily a gear indicator (absent on pre-Roadster models) that intercepts the signal from the gear position sensor to firstly show which gear you're in and then send a 'dummy' signal to the ECU that you're actually in 4th gear all the time. Works a treat but I recall that it interfers with the standard gear indicator on the Roadster. Costs a few bob too so a retune is the better option on a Roadster.
