Looking for Information on the Speedo

Anyone know the leads color from the speed sensor, weather they are sign or square wave
and the pulse count per mile.

Hey guys

I am attemting to install a electronic cruise control and the instructions are to select some permaters likeweather square wave or sign wave. I have the service Manual and even called Triumph on this info (said it was secret) Thanks for the try I will try a different tact

is the speedo sensor two or three wire out and where is it located Thanks for all your help Mark

will Publish any sucessful install rhis unit has whireless remote so u can mount it anywhere on the handelbars or tank very cool

Do you know any electronic tinkerers? They can hook up their oscilloscope and give you your answer in a jiffy. 8)

The speed sensor is #2 on the wiring diagram it connects to the earth by the black wire, the instrument cluster #1 is connected by the black/yellow wire and the pink/yellow wire goes to the ECM #7. These are the loom colors. The sensor colors are black/white = earth, orange/red = cluster and pink = ECM. "Its a secret" is a way of saying I dont know, but at a guess I would say its a square wave because the sensor is located behind the kickstand on the lefthand side under the output shaft assembly and probably works off the rotation of the shaft.
