Lock broken?

Yesterday I parked my rocket at the motorcycle mall and when I return back, I see that someone has parked it on other side of the road. And when I try to put the keys inside the ignition switch, it was getting struck. I realized that lock is'nt working, most probably the guy who parked it on ther side broke it. This guys works in the motorcycle mall and had to park it other side to clear the road for his truck. He did accept breaking it. Now when I reached home, I saw the ignition switch assembly was bend (I had lost one of the screws that go below the ignition switch before all this happened, may that helped breaking the lock easily). The keys are working fine, the ON, OFF, PUSH, PARKING are all working fine except the LOCK.
Could it be lock broken? Do I need to replace the whole ignition switch assembly?
 
to fix the problem take a large spanner and undo all the wheel nuts on the truck exept one per wheel ( for your own safety)

then place the large spanner firmly and repeatedly against the truck drivers leggs using a fast swinging motion
 
Was the dude about 6' 4" with arms 5' long and had a 97" chest and extremely hairy? If so, I'd forego the spanner to the legs bit and instead drop the spanner into one hubcap with all the nuts. 8)
 
There's a little something I like to call tretolite.
It's used to make water dissipate in oil wells and makes the oil come in.
anyway, One pop bottle (about 16-20 ounces) of this stuff in a gas tank will crystallize a motor instantly from the carb (or throttlebodies) down past the pistons and it will NEVER run again.
As soon as he cranks it up within 10-20 seconds, that motor is history.
Please don't ask how I know,
we all know I have a checkered past. :wink:
 
I hate to say it but I agree with everyone else now a point if this guy works on bikes he should know how picky we are about people we dont know and even ones we do touching our bikes none the less he should have known better than to do what he did had it been me he would have been lucky to be walking after that I would have made **** sure he would never get on a bike again

It won't.

But that lock wouldn't stop anyone anyway, 'cept maybe my grandma.
 

The issue is, he did not accept breaking it, he accept that he moved the bike but he said bike was'nt locked. I had an hour long "blame-game" with him but nothing good turned out for me.

I am anyway trying to relocate it now as I am gonna get the clearview windshield soon :lol: but LOCK is the only issue I am worried about. How do you guys take care of it? (Whoever has relocated the switch?)
 
We don't.

Well, you can carry a chain or a disc lock or something like that if you think it'll help.

If someone REALLY wants your bike, no amount of locking is going to stop them from getting it.
