List of high idle causes for mechanic

I have heard of vacuum lines being cracked and causing excess air to enter throttle bodies and causing high idle issue.....or vacuum line that have come off. Check every one under the tank and connected to the throttle bodies. Some one should come along to give you better info on this but you can add it to the list.......:D

Good Luck

They dont even need to be cracked, they can get soft as they heat up and close up as the vacum increases, buy some good silicone line from local Auto store and replace, just cut the 3 throttle body ones to the same length.

Mine is in the shop now for tps replacement. Throttle was sticking on high idle. See how it is when I get it back.

Seems like every bike I ever had, I sat around reinventing the thing or polling the minds of other owners to see how they reinvented theirs. Makes me wonder why the factories never get their bikes quite sorted before they put them out for sale?
