Neither of my standard high or low beam bulbs works. The 20 amp fuse is OK. The little bulbs on the bottom are on but that's a different circuit. Dos one bad one keep the other frm coming on? The switch on the grip doesn't work in the high or low position. What the hell?

Start with the simple things first check for power to the lamps. Its not unusable for both bulbs to go out at the same time. My F150 both low beams went out, on my blazer hi and low beams went out, on my Rocket the clock an fuel gauge back lighting went out together. I don't know why it happens but it does.

Dougl, does it start up? If not you may need a new ignition switch. Happened to me last year in February and the gages would cycle but no headlights and no start up.

It cycles, starts up and runs fine. I should perhaps take a volt meter to the head light?
BTW, what was wrong with it?

Needed the ignition switch replaced all covered under warranty...even got new keys.

Do you have a shop manual and a test light or volt meter? The Rocket headlight circuit is weird, it has a feature built into it that keeps the bike from starting if both bulbs are out, so that necessitates a relay and some other strange stuff in there. Best to just start checking things out. I would look at the wiring diagram for that particular circuit and trace it down. If the bulbs are good and the fuse is good there must be something strange going on...
No doubt. I'll be out and about when it remembers it's not supposed to start when both bulbs are out. If I don't get any voltage at the bulb connector, it's going to the shop.
