RAF Woodbridge, its near Colchester. I went there a few years back with a 1668cc Nitrous Busa. I still hold the ACU British records for 2,000cc class. I did an average 204mph for the flying 1/4 (both ways within and hour, no changes allowed) and 199mph average for the flying kilo (5/8mile). Did 20 runs all over 200mph top speed over the weekend. It was awesome, there was a 20mph 3/4 head wind (and tale) most of the weekend, made it a bit wild at times. rev limiter in top one way, 1000 revs to go the other, not perfect for records. Did a best one way average of 217mph. AND I LIVED TO TELL THE TALE
Just out of interest its an emergency landing zone for the Space Shuttle. 8)

!/4 mile is anyone's guess w/o traction and depending on your skill level. It could be anywhere from in the 9's to low 12's.

Pinning it in 5th with a stock height tire 150 corrected mph would put you at about 6500 rpms, with maybe 160 at 7K? I'd say you'll run out of gear and than aero much above that.

I would also seriously, seriously recommend fresh SYNTHETIC oil and filter and an oil cooler if you don't have one already. W/O an oil temp gauge, your top speed run may see an oil temp of 250-300 degrees.

10.8-- 163mph.should sound good tho.best of luck.not to warm ,this w/end does that help :?:

I place my bet with drphillgood... Seriously, how about a 10% discount on a supercharger kit for the winner... It would help us yanks out with regards to the F&^cking exchange rate should one of us win... If that person is not interested in a kit, pass it along to the next closet and so on until you reach somebody who wants to buy the kit...

Mike...

The kit price is £2800 and I give you guys an export price of £2500, that's more than 10% and your still not biting . you still have to pay shipping. But its an extremely good offer.
