Good day Rocketmen,
I am so overjoyed and astonished with my 22 Triple Black GT. Rode 2k miles to the trail of the dragon 3 weeks ago and it was a religious experience.
Totally amazing. Adrenaline for days.
Those roads were superb.
That being said, a week before I started my trip I took a quick 300 mile ride. When I got back home I noticed some oil on my garage floor. I traced the leak, topped her of with oil and rode her 128 miles to the dealership. I sat there all day to have them do the 600 mile inspection and diagnose the leak. They said my head gasket is bad or something and ordered a new one. I was furious. Spending that much money, just to have a freaking oil leak 3 weeks into ownership pissed me off. I've been dreaming about riding the trail of the dragon and 28 and foothills parkway and all that for ever. Here's my one and only shot to do it and my brand new bike is leaking FREAKING MOTOR OIL.
The mechanic said I could still make the trip. I was skeptical but went on my trip anyway considering if I blow the motor maybe the warranty will cover my A$$. I went on the trip. It.. was... wonderful....
Best vacation I've ever been on.
She did good and got me home safe and sound. I was so scared she would explode.
She didn't.
I called the dealership when I got back and they have the gasket. I'm just nervous to take her in and have the mechanics strip her down and try and fix the leak. Ill be taking her in later this week. I hope they can fix her and she remains a reliable and sturdy Machine.
But... good thing I got the warranty and I'm sure everything will be okay. Or my motor is FUBAR and I'll be sans rocket for months.
Guess I'm just venting.
